How to Match Tractor Parts by OEM Number | Mulix

Learn how to identify and confirm tractor replacement parts by OEM number, model, dimensions, photos and fitment details before quotation.

OEM fitment

Short answer

Send the complete OEM or part number together with the tractor brand and model, required quantity, clear photos and key dimensions. Mulix cross-checks the reference against fitment information and confirms the part, MOQ, lead time and export requirements before quotation.

1. Record the complete OEM reference

Write the number exactly as it appears on the part, label, drawing or old invoice. Keep dashes, spaces, suffixes and revision marks because a small suffix can identify a different version.

If the number is stamped on a worn or dirty component, send a close photo as well as the typed number. A second photo of the whole part helps separate a genuine reference from a casting, batch or supplier mark.

  • OEM or part number, including suffixes
  • Tractor brand, model and, when available, production year
  • Photo of the number and photo of the complete component

2. Confirm fitment with the tractor and part details

An OEM reference is strong evidence, but fitment can vary by model series, production year, hydraulic configuration or supplier revision. Compare the part with the tractor application before placing a batch order.

For hydraulic, electrical and driveline parts, connection details are especially important. Provide mounting holes, shaft or spline information, port size, voltage, connector type, critical dimensions and material when relevant.

  • Overall length, width, height and mounting dimensions
  • Ports, threads, shafts, splines, teeth, connectors or sealing points
  • Operating system, tractor function and replacement reason

3. What to send when the OEM number is missing

A missing number does not stop a fitment review. Mulix can start with the tractor brand and model, part name, photos, a drawing or the most important dimensions.

For an unfamiliar part, include the old sample if possible. Mark the measurement points on a photo or drawing and explain where the part is installed. This gives the sourcing team enough context to compare alternatives without guessing.

  • Tractor brand, model and the system where the part is installed
  • Front, side and connection photos with a scale or ruler
  • Quantity, destination country and any packing or label requirement

4. What Mulix confirms before quotation

Mulix reviews the OEM reference, model information and available dimensions, then identifies any points that still need confirmation. The quotation stage should make uncertainty visible instead of treating an unverified cross-reference as a guaranteed fit.

After fitment is confirmed, the commercial review covers the available supply route, MOQ, lead time, inspection, export packing and destination requirements. Brand and OEM names are used for fitment reference only and do not indicate OEM authorization.

  • Matched reference and fitment notes
  • MOQ, product lead time and packing options
  • Open questions that must be confirmed before shipment

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is an OEM number enough to confirm a tractor part?

It is the best starting point, but the tractor model, version, dimensions and connections should also be checked before quotation or shipment.

What if the OEM number is damaged or missing?

Send the tractor brand and model, clear photos, a drawing or key dimensions, the installed system and the required quantity. Mulix can review the part from these details.

Can Mulix check a part from photos only?

Photos can start the review, but critical dimensions, connections or an old sample may still be needed before fitment is confirmed.

Do John Deere, YTO or Lovol references mean Mulix is an authorized OEM supplier?

No. These names and references are used to describe fitment programs and cross-reference requirements. Mulix is not affiliated with the tractor manufacturers.

Have an OEM number to check?

Send the reference, model, quantity and destination. Add photos or dimensions when the exact match is uncertain.
